There are two possibilities....

I think most people had pre-ordered their tickets. It was just a very interesting crowd. There were nerds, frat boys, teenage girls, old people, a guy with dreads and even some parent/kid groups.

How cool is that?

Our showing had about five or six scary looking people in cheap Trekkie costumes.

And I mean scary looking before they put on their costumes...
I'm surprised the cinema was still mostly full after they insisted upon standing around the entrance, staring scarily at the people innocently wandering in...
