Default What's your favorite painting?

I keep thinking about this... I've been trying to figure out what my favorite peice of art is... and so far, I keep coming back to "Nighthawks" By Edward Hopper.

Everytime I look at this painting, I think up stories about those people, why they are in this diner, all alone, in the harsh light... the dark empty streets outside.

Neither am I, but although I have a few that I like, I think my favourite is 'Boston Harbour, Sunset' (1850-55) by Fitz Hugh Lane.

It's rather nondescript compared to most others, but it's calmness and serenity make me peaceful. I keep meaning to buy a framed print of it to put somewhere at home.

Others include 'Cliffs of the Upper Colorado River, Wyoming Territory' (1882) by Thomas Moran.

A dramatic and imposing landscape piece that captures the stunning beauty of the area.

Also 'Subsiding of the Waters of the Deluge' (1829) by Thomas Cole.

Again, something tranquil and relaxing about it for me.

Oh, don't be shy about not being well versed in art, guys. I'm just wondering what artwork catches your imagination... Yeah, I love the E. Hopper "Nighthawks", but I also think my second favorite painting would be something by Boris, or Frazetta. LOL
