Default Must read: USE SPOILER TAGS until Mon., May 18. & New Thread requests

We ask people to please continue using spoiler tags until Monday May 18th. That gives people 2 weekends to see the movie before being spoiled.

To help keep the boards tidy we also stickied two threads. Please don't start new threads of "I've seen the movie.." Utilize one of the sticky ones below:

Movie Discussion/ SPOILER reviews HERE - *SPOILERS* enter at own risk

and

Did you see the movie? Post SPOILER FREE reviews & thoughts here

Before starting any new threads look and see if there's already an active thread about your topic. Be sure to check the first few pages, not just the main page!

Thank you!

This is probably a dumb question but does this mean that we should use spoiler tags within the spoiler threads?

That's not a dumb question! If a thread is titled warning of spoilers, there's no need to use the tags in it.

Nice work, Red!

And what did YOU think of the movie? Where's your review?

She's going to say she loved it...
That's such a catch 22.

If I didn't love it I would say it was "good" (if I thought it was good).

If I thought the movie was awful I'd diplomatically avoid the question and having to answer.

I honestly loved it. I'm a fan of TOS (Spock was my biggest crush as a kid) and from the first moments of the movie, I knew it was going to be wonderful. I enjoy movies and recent favorites off the top of my head have been Slumdog Millionaire, Iron Man, Tropic Thunder, etc. but this was the first movie since Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl that I wanted to turn around and go right back in. Star Trek has that same magical essence that the first Pirates movie did for me. And to see the characters I've loved for so many years getting new life breathed in to them... and by such a seriously talented group of actors.. I'm overwhelmed with happiness.
