Or they just wanted to avoid the obvious parody quote:
"Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads."

So was that cop a robot or just a fancy mask on a human(oid)?

I wrote up a nice response saying my skepticism was unwarranted and I loved the film, but I kept getting a weird message when I tried to add spoiler tags around the only things I didn't like about the film--so I just deleted the whole message.

But yes, I was very pleasantly surprised and adored the movie.

Oh, and the 7:00 pm screening here in Stillwater was 90% full, and the lobby was packed on our way out.

Bring on the sequel--I can't wait.

The cop, robot or alien... hmm, hard to be sure. I'm leaning towards robot though. Maybe a primitive android?

Scary thought that we turn over 'police' duties to robots... it doesn't work so well in Futurama.

Seems to work ok in Trek... after all, they let a robot operate on the Federation flagship's bridge crew over in TNG. And on Voyager they have an artificial surgeon. I think they've pretty much nailed robots and intelligent systems.

BoP5.

Please accept my sincere thank you for keeping an open mind. Also please accept an apology from me for what it's worth.

I'm pretty sure you enjoyed the movie much more than I probably will tomorrow. You're expectations were set SOOOOOOO low. Mine are SOOOOOOOOO high.

I hope I'm not disappointed.

Oh yeh...

Told ya so.

I couldn't resist. Sorry.

I have no regrets. This movie is the worst Star Trek film. I saw it and will see it again with my grandmother on monday only because she wants to see it. Austin was more than enough for me.

Wow. BoP5. I just noticed your Federation Flag isn't upside down anymore. This must be seriously good.
