I can't wait to see Star Trek this week... I know it's going to be awesome.... I’m a BIG Trekkie and love the series ! I totally can’t wait for this movie ! I’m excited ! I know there are some trekkies here ! BTW, I just got this cool new ringtone and all I did was have to Text TREKKIE to 30303 to receive the Star Trek: Next Generation Theme

I must say, I am extremely fond of Jerry Goldsmith's theme for STAR TREK. It is my favorite theme song of all time. That ringtone plays on my mom's cell phone whenever I call her, so she knows it's me before she even answers the phone. On a different note, though, you do know that the TMP/TNG theme will NOT be present in the new movie, don't you?

Right. And frankly, I don't think it would have fit in the film either. Different era of TREK storytelling.

Reprising the Courage theme was the perfect note.

Yes, the absolute best thing they could have done, and they did it. I had some moments of heart racing thrill during the movie, but nothing like I got when they played that theme during the credits. I was on cloud 9 when it played.
