What do you think of the movie?
Sadly I won't be able to see the movie til Saturday because of school finals
 . So I wanted to make this poll for those who have seen it.What do you think of the new Star Trek Movie? Was it: Great Great but not Star Trek Ok Ok but not Star Trek Bad Let me know. Also, this is the only thread I'll be checking from tonight until I see it. So please nothing about the plot unless it's just general about the alternate universe. I don't want to know anymore than that. This is going to be so exciting and amazing! I can't wait til Saturday!!!

(Prior to jumping to warp) "Dilthium chambers at full power sir!" Really made me cringe. That makes about as much sense as saying: "Captains quarters are at full power!"
Yep, its good but not quite Star Trek, director was right for saying it's not for "purists". I still enjoyed it though, even if they did overdo the comedy a bit.

Great film!
True Star trek!! I Dont like all these peeps going on an on about parallel universes or parallel timelines, its still our ST universe, timeline, its just a little altered :-) About Vulcan being destroyed, Old spock does say that he's off to find a new home for the vulcans, maybe it will be called vulcan again and it will be the planet we see in all the future ST episodes(TOS and such) Anyway excellent film! Live long and prosper ST! :-)

Hey, JParker... that's a pretty MAJOR spoiler you just dropped there.
I came into this thread because there were no spoiler warnings. I just wanted to get a feel for what people thought so far. I had no idea that I would end up with a bomb like that dropped in my lap. Please try to be more careful. There are still plenty of us in other parts of the world who have to wait a few more weeks to see it.
