As good as the experience is, it is kinda a let down once it's over isn't it... not the movie so to speak but as you said the fact that "after 2 hours it's over"......

don't get me wrong, I still want to scream bloody murder ARE WE THERE YET...... and I still know it's gonna be one helluva thrill ride.... reminds me of standing in long lines for roller coaster rides and then in a few short minutes it's over as well..... oh well whatcha gonna do

Having is not as pleasing a thing... you know the rest
But I'll see it again and again... next time has to be the OV.

I almost don't want tomorrow to come because the anticipation is half the fun! But I'll go mad if tomorrow doesn't come. I'm waiting for the light to change when I cross every street tomorrow and being super careful because god forbid I DIE before 7:30 tomorrow night. If there's an afterlife, I'd be rather upset about dying before I saw the movie...

As of 7pm EDT on Thursday I will have by butt firmly planted in a theater seat, large popcorn and diet coke, ready to stifle a year and a half of giddiness. I cannot wait. Friday morning I hope to do it all again.

To all other forum members...Have fun, it's been a heck of a ride. See you on the other side.

Oh the popcorn. The guys next to me were making all sorts of disturbing noises with it And another guy somewhere close to me kept talking about how this starbase looks like some Star Wars station and that thing looks like the thing from Episode YXZ

Talking "The wait is over...."

After 3 years....countless rumors...speculation....April Fool's jokes...casting...designs...websites...complaining and whining and ENDLESS Star Trek optimism....here we are. The fruits of labor come to bear tomorrow night...7 years after the miscarriage of Nemesis...we have the rebirth of Trek as we will know it from here on out (TOS fan here, btw.). If you think about it, this is what we all have waited for...someone to take the franchise out of it's own little static warp shell and become the M word: Mainstream. I look upon tomorrow as a renewal of the universe that has brought me much happiness since I was a child watching reruns on Channel 38 on New Orleans at 6 p.m. This is the moment I have been waiting for, and I hope that all Trekkies can rejoice with me that we now have something TANGIBLE to look forward to...and we can feel what Roddenberry wanted us to feel all along...

Hope.

Been there, done that. I took tomorrow and Friday off of work because this is gonna be a Trek-gasm of universal proportions.
