Default Lines at the first showing? How early for good seats?

Like many of you guys, I have tickets to the first IMAX show on May 7. Anyone care to guess how early we should get there to land some decent seats? I just want to sit somewhere in the middle, I don't like being too far off center. I think the show is sold out since they aren't available on movietickets.com anymore and I'm a little worried that Trek fans are like Star Wars fans that camp out all day, but really I have no idea. If I go to the theater an hour early would that be enough..?

Good point. I also am seeing it at the Imax. I hope people aren't camping out!

I'm going about 2 or 3 hours early. Nobody but me and my friends will get to be at the front of the line.

Me and my friends were first in line for The Dark Knight and Watchmen.

By Grabthar's Hammer, by the Sons of Warvan, we will be first in line for this.

I'm shooting for 1 1/2 to 2 hours ahead of time. I'm too old to be out there much earlier than that. Now if the kids want to be out there earlier than that, more power to them.

Default how early for good seats in imax?

well, i also have tixs for thurs at 7pm for me and my son.i am planning on getting to the theatre at least two hours before showtime.why so early?it has been my experience that an imax auditorium only seats about 100 people or so.with that in mind, at the dark knight screening,we got there about 2 hours early and people where already sitting down behind a velvet rope!! it is always better to be too early than to late to an event like this.best wishes, and enjoy

On Thursday night I am shooting for 2 hours early... I know that there will be a line - but I won't be at the end...

I am perplexed by what to do Friday night - I have back to back tickets for two shows - I originally had a later show planned for myself at IMAX but then 25 people at work wanted to do the one before it. I hope they let me stay in the theater and not re-do the line.

Getting my geek on... man, this is so exciting....

I probably won't be able to get there until 6:00PM or so, since we're leaving straight from work and we have to get from one side of the city to other via public transportation. Fortunately, it will only take a trolley and bus. Probably about an hour long trip.

If I can, I'll leave 1 and a half hours early. I've already bought my tickets, The theater is in a relatively small city, and thursday is a work day and one day before everyone's payday, so I'm not expecting too much trouble. I should end up at the theater at about 6 o'clock. I want seats in the middle of the theater and a couple of rows forward of center toward the screen.
