I love the humor. Oh and PG-13? It's pretty obvious but I didnt think about it at the time.

I still not used to what appeats to be engineering. I always thought that magical glowing circuit boards in the likes of TNG and VOY etc where a bit..what ever cause holding a light upto it will magically change what its connected to, I would have preferred to see cables and wiring hanging loosely bundled togeather with cable ties and less piping.
And keeping the big old showey engineering for guests and the magic pulsating light, and computer stations to monitor everything.

Engineering:

What's behind the walls? Between the decks? How does plasma flow with out a pipe? How do raw materials get to the food processors? Where are the raw materials for the uniforms come from or being stored?

Even in TMP we saw Kirk and Scotty walking out of the shuttle for the first time and looking at the hanger deck with cargo containers being unloaded and stored.

You have to heat a space craft with something, and that something has to get to all parts of the ship, and it doesn't get there easy. The control room of Reactor plant is pretty with all the lights on, but you all know whats behind the walls.

I'm glad we get to finely see what's behind the shiny buttons, Where does the water come from for "Tea, Earl Gray, Hot", come from?

Even Voyager had to look for food, due the replicators running low, So where do they store the food??? It has to be somewhere on the ship, maybe in the room next to the pipes.

The Bridge is shiny and bright, but its not magical, and it doesn't have seat belts......That's why everybody goes flying around the Bridge.

Honestly, it makes sense for an engineering section to allow quick access to the machinery that makes the ship tick. If something breaks, you want to be there and fixing it in seconds. And yeah, there's pipes, how do you think the ship worked, layer upon layer of shiny consoles, one behind the other? :P

Yes, that engine room looks a little like a chemical refinery...

or a brewery...

But that may be Scotty just adding in a few refinements for a long voyage.

Ya never leave your kilt behind....

Cool find...is it home made? Is that why it's on photobucket?

Love Scotty's line, love seeing McCoy jab Kirk repeatedly....looks like the beginning of a trademark thing for future movies!
