Indeed. Good for Olmos standing up for the fans.

The attorney general's office said 44 complaints had been made against JumpCon through March. If convicted, Senter could face up to 14 years in prison.
And he should. Too bad the victims won't see a dime.

The articel doesn't really give a lot of detail - is this something that was a con from that start?

I don't know about you guys, but I love seeing stories like this. I think, if you've been in fandom as long as I have, you've been conned more than a few times by fraudulent "con promoters" (I can think of one horror convention that was held in Winter Park, Colorado, as an example. The slimy promoter kept telling people that Stephen King was going to be a guest, then turned around and blamed a group I was part of [who were working as his con as staff] for the fact these fraudulent claims were made. We had wanted to sue, but found that the legal costs for doing so would have been impossible.)

Go get 'em, Boys!

Too bad the same thing can't also happen to the promoter behind the fraudulent American version of FedCon (called FedCon USA).

What was that, you ask? Here's the story:
FedCon USA Cancelled After One Day
