It's too bad Battlestar Galactica never got to a 100th episode.

I havent seen all of the ones in the list but my top picks are the X-Files Lone Gunman episode and Charmed. I guess thats heresy on a Trek forum.

Gee, I wasn't aware that so many science fiction/fantasy shows had survived long enough to HAVE 100 episodes...

And I think StarGate SG-1 is the only show to have run up to (and beyond) 10 years.

I think it is and they had a 200th episode, but boy was it bad, except for a little bit with a Team America sort of skit.

It is too bad BSG didn't make it to 100 episodes, but it was always so tight, nothing wasted. Maybe it didn't need a 100 to tell it's story.

BTW, saw Caprica and it was great. Can't wait to see the series. I was really blown away by it; thought it was better than Razor and nearly on par with the BSG pilot. Loved the cathedral touch in the middle of the holo-pagan temple of debauchery or whatever you could call it. It really set up the polytheism/monotheism aspects of BSG from the get-go and the Athena School Zoe and her friends attended, very much a Catholic School. It was really well done.

Maybe Caprica will reach a 100 episodes. Well it's okayed for 18 so who knows!

Indeed. I loved the pilot Caprica episode. A family drama with sci-fi underpinnings. Some elements of the show you watch, and completely forget it has anything at all to do with science fiction. (In many cases, that's also why I enjoyed the new Galactica.)

I thought the train explosion looked awesome, and on par with a big budget FX movie...especially when you see it on a 42 inch HDTV.

I have to agree with the summary of the episodes.

Indeed, I saw it on my trusty 32' HD tv and it looked pretty sweet! Did you get the blu-ray version?

put in spoiler for those who haven't seen it 'cause it's a big spoiler IMO.

I did not see a blu-ray version released. I think my local Best Buy only carried the DVD version. Perhaps if I'd looked to see if there was a Blu-Ray version, I would most certainly have snagged it.

Speaking of Galactica and Blu-Ray...the entire new series is coming in a boxed set to Blu-Ray. It'll be a pretty penny to be sure, but definitely something I'll get. (I think it would be a wonderful bonus if they were to throw in the original series, and Galactica 1980 as a bone to the classic fans....but then again, there are some I know who would never buy the blu-ray set if it included that because of their extreme hatred for the new series. To them, it would feel like a slap in the face. "WHAT?! You mean in order to get my beloved classic series on Blu-Ray, I have to actually buy GINO?!!(Galactica in Name Only). Thanks, but no thanks!" )
