Talking Funny Star Trek misconceptions

This is pretty much a thread to post any funny misconceptions you've heard people have about Trek (with two weeks left, I'm sure we can find a ton of funnies)

Personally, the funniest in my opinions is the gaffe that people sometimes have saying "Track" instead of "Trek", a minor thing obviously but it always makes me laugh. That and how some people have a pretty understandable idea that Star Trek and Star Wars are connected somehow ("Spock's a Jedi, right?" as my brother put it a few years back before I showed him WoK for the first time.)

How about Mr. Spock's weekend hobby - he's a well-known pediatrician, right? We've all heard all about how DR. Spock was the guy with the pointed ears ... Ugh!

So you mean the line isn't: "Spice, the final frontier..."???

That all Star Trek fans are skinny teenage boys with an acne problem, an asthma inhaler, glasses as thick as coke bottle bottoms, leisure slacks, checkered short sleeve shirts and pocket protectors. Not that there's any problem with that, if you just so happen to be one.
