It was said they all signed for three pics according to other sources. According to Pine he didn't but said he would if asked to come back. Does this mean they signed for just one film? I made another thread about which actor would likely hold out for more money. This might confirm one crewmember who will have the opportunity.

Interesting, glad he'd be up for signing back on for another, have got used to the new crew, can't be doing with having to get used to any more if he didn't. I imagine how much he signs on for will depend a lot on how it all goes down when it comes out.

Sounds like a bunch of legal speak to me. I'm sure there are lots of qualifiers in the original contract such that is this movie bombed, Paramount wouldn't be obligated to pay these guys for 2 more. Plus, who knows what the marketing people told him to say.

Movie series are absolute gold for actors. He'd be crazy to say no.

Just think if he doesn't sign, then Shatner could sign on and take his place. What a fitting comeback it would make if the story was right.

Well if this film does well, I hope there will be a sequel. I really hope this isn't just a quick money making venture (as has been suggested). I'd love to see Trek revived, not just taken advantage of with a drive-by project before being left to lay dormant for another several years before anybody picks it up again.

Saquist, I agree 100% I feel in my heart that is exactly what will happen.

At the most a Trillogy that has a begining middle and an End but neatly ties up all the loose ends...have it compete with the big boys.
