Not with this cast if they decide to do a new series.

If they don't use this cast, I'd rather they not do a show at all, tbh. Unless they somehow work the tv show cast into a movie with the movie cast so we actually know who the heck they are (and care).

If the movie draws a big crowd, then hopefully in another orginal crew tv series. At least I can hope....

I want the remaining two movies first, though.

Said it before and I'll say it again there will be no tv series this is the end of Star Trek. Abrams will follow this up with a sequel or two and then move on. This is not an attempt to update and revive Star Trek but a money grabbing exercise. I would wish things were otherwise hell, I would even accept a new Trek based on this alternate time-line and start things over again but no one is going to make it so.

I disagree. At the risk of sounding like my screen name, your statement is not logical. Assuming this movie is (and any others to follow are) successful as hoped, wouldn't there be a dependable demand for the same in future projects? This group of characters helped Gene Roddenberry launch a successful product over 40-years ago. Since then, Star Trek has made a fortune and is still a household name. Why wouldn't JJ Abrams want to tap into that, as well? If there's money to be made from movies, then there's money to be made on TV as well. Otherwise, Lost and Fringe would be a waste of a very busy director's time and resources.

I agree so hard with this. Thinking like Paramount and what sort of profit they can cough up, why would they stop at just movies if they can get more mileage out of it?
