Does Spock look weird to you?
I have not seen the movie, yet.
All my references are promotional materials. However, I think Spock looks funny. I realize it is not Leonard Nimoy playing the young version, and I don't mean he looks funny because he doesn't look like Leonard Nimoy. I have seen other Vulcans in the TV series', in the movies, and yet this guy looks funny, as a Vulcan. Did they do that to make the point that he's half-Vulcan? Maybe it is because his face looks too smooth. I can't put my finger on it. Does anyone agree?

i think his face matches nimoys,we re lucky to have him as spock,he is a good actor,after all he has nimoys blessings and thats good enough for me

To be honest I think visually Quinto is as close as you'll get. Maybe just differences in make up techniques over the years makes a difference.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.
I'm not complaining that he doesn't look like Nimoy. Forget who the character is. I'm asking if he looks strange for a Vulcan. Any Vulcan. Generic Vulcan.

Not really sure I follow.
On some of the later shows Vulcans were depicted with a kind of tanned look on their skin (presummably from the nature of Vulcan's climate) and Quinto is a little paler. But then Nimoy was also less tanned looking in TOS anyway.

ok....i believe his side profile indicates a bit ,funny nose,and his skin a bit too yellowish/greenish for my taste

The only place I think he looks weird are on the mag covers hes been on. It almost looks like he was photo-shopped to death and all waxy looking. In the movie scenes and stills he looks pretty convincing to me.

Looks like a normal Vulcan to me... Do you have a specific photo for reference so we can see what you're looking at?
