Default Enterprise Picture

I wonder if that's what's left of the Kelvin. If so then the Enterprise had to launch just before the Kelvin was destoryed?

Respectfully, I don't think that is the Kelvin. Wasn't there like years between the two?

It's not the Kelvin. At least I'm pretty sure it's not the Kelvin. If it is then TWO things would need to be true. One: the Enterprise must have been built long before Kirk rides up to see that ship being built, which we believe is the Enterprise but could be just another ship of the same class. Two: the Kelvin would have to be one HUGE ship for it's saucer section to dwarf the Enterprise even though it is further from our point of view. Just some thoughts.

The Kelvin is bigger than the dish on the Enterprise, but the Kelvin gets destroyed 20+ years before the Enterprise launches.

I assume Starfleet just has a lot of that class of ship.

OMG these FX are spectacular.

If I am not mistaken, Roberto Orci said the Kelvin was a colonizer ship w/ a larger saucer for greater living space.

Based on previous pictures of the wreckage I've seen, I believe "Mayflower" is the name of the ship.

the USS Mayflower looks like it is(was) the biggest starfleet vessel of it's time.

Probably a supply ship.

No, No No.....That is not the Kelvin folks. It is what is left of starfleet ships after Nero has delivered a serious blow. The Enterprise arrives after a delay by Sulu during the battle. We never see the destruction. Its kind of like sector 001 in
