I have a feeling the Enterprise will be clearly outgunned. Kirk knows this and will "change the rules" somehow. He'll force Nero to level the playing field in some way or take advantage of his arrogance.

You could either fool him into making the wrong tactical decision or give him a good old fashioned Indiana Jones knockout punch in the face.

The latter could be seen as low tech, but it works nevertheless.
