dv8 is right: Blu-ray has Java and other technologies available to it that DVDs do not, simply because of player technology and disc storage size.

BD players are much more like computers than simple 'record players', which DVDs are more akin to. It's the interactivity that wouldn't be possible on a DVD.

Well having an extended view and kicka$$ behind the scenes stuff will absolutely enhance DVD sales interest.

Well, if the movie comes out on blu-ray at least we'll be spared a digital re-mastering. (for the next few years anyway)

Possible director's cut--unless the film already is the director's cut, which is likely. What happened with MI:III?
