Per the original poster's query, so did I. I just couldn't take any chances with this film. I usually wait in line at the ticket office on opening day, but the build up to this film has been such, and the interest in it so great, that if I got turned away on opening day, I would go absolutely nova like a gone bad star. I just had to hedge my bet.

I'll be purchasing my ticket(and my 19 other friend's tickets) 1 or 2 days before the premiere. And on the day of the premiere I'll be there 3 hours before the film starts so that my crew can be first in line.

The Star Trek fans who swear they won't see the new film remind me of the geeks in the AVS forum I post on back when the HD DVD and Blu-ray format war was raging.

The HD DVD fans had a few extremists who swore up and down that if Blu-ray won the format war they would NEVER buy one. I always chuckled when I read thoes posts because I knew that the vast majority of them would eat those words because they were too much of a fan of High Defiition to live without it.

If I was behind you on line and you thought you'd let 19 of your friends jump to the front of the line with you, you'd be first one on line for an ambulance and I'd be first one on line to jail.
