I don't think Kirk can fix this timeline because i see nothing wrong with it. The only way i can think of is if Nero is sent back to the 24th century on the exact second that he left the 24th, then this alt. timeline might not exist. I wonder too if this new Enterprise is also cause of the alt. timeline? |

Racing...trying to get ready to see the phycial therapist (damaged shoulder while working out)... I like this idea! While getting ready, I thought to myself, what would happen if the Big E, while doing both a medical supply drop to a scientific away team, gets attacked by a Klingon force (introducing Kirk's main TOS Klingon nemesis--can't think of his name). The Enterprise survives the first attack, but has to drop her warp core in the process due to excessive damage. Now, with nothing but impulse engies, photo torpedoes, and limited phasers (and perhaps introduce a back up weapond like rail guns), the Enterprise must both limp to aid the away team also under Klingon threat--holding them off while awaiting help from Starfleet. It would be a great way to further establish Kirk as a strategist and and bolster the legend of Kirk and his crew. It would also show Starfleet as a mainly exploratory organizaiton, finding a new world and then struggling to survive the elements as well as the threat of hostile attack. I'M IN SO MUCH TROUBLE. Gotta go! Such great topics! |

I suppose since we saw one of Data's ancestors in ENT, that we could get a glimpse of Datas Dad, that would be interesting.

As much as I love TNG (it's my favorite series, obviously) those brilliant actors are too old now for this show. Look at the stunts in Nemesis. Riker and The Viceroy. Two old guys fighting it out in a random 200 ft shaft. The whole sequence was brutal. I don't want to see new TNG content or actors anymore. They had their fun. It's time to let this new group of talented actors shine without influence from what's past. Especially something as cliche (in my opinion) as dealing with Data's dad...again.

I'd love to see it go back down the road of exploration, but this being Hollywood means we'll need to incorporate LOTS of action & sex, so it may only be a footnote!

If the goal is to stick with TOS then Kingons have to be next as the best known villains on the show. Better use of screen time when its possible to use someone that already has a reasonably well known history. Even non-Trekkies know who the Klingons are, if not the specifics. Plus its a good time to set up Kirk's opinion of them. But they are the choice, it has to be a very different portrayal because Klingon stories have been done to death. At least they have more panache than the Borg.
A new take on the Gorn episode would be pretty good and has all the elements needed but vague enough to allow room for interpretation. I'm sure the battle between Kirk and a fast-moving Gorn would make for a great screen duel. |

I think the Gorn would be cool, too! Were there previous encounters with the Gorn prior to that one episode, or was it a forced encounter similar to the one where the TNG crew met the Borg?

Tholians need to be in it bad. let's see a total of 2 times that we have seen them in the star trek universe. Enterprise and Tholian Web, interesting?

Interesting in that they are a species that has such significance to Trek, yet we only see them twice!
