Encounter at Farpoint

Awful! The story and idea wasn't bad -- but it was poorly timed, only a couple of people in it seemed to have more than two drama classes under their belt, and the background music jarred. All in all such wasted potential.

Thank goodness the series got better over time.

Any episode with Dr Pulaski in it. I could not stand that character.

And most of season one was a little cheesy. I understand it did not have much of a budget for the first season, but I was very happy when season 2 came along. Of course that introduced Dr Pulaski, soooooo this post turns full circle.

I also didn't really care for The Ensigns of Command or Eye of the Beholder! Utterly ridiculous.

I agree 100%.

Some other awful TNG eps:
Code Of Honor
Justice
Angel One
The Royale

All from the first and seconds seasons... Hmm...

Any episode with excessive techno-babble.

While Samuel L. Jackson had a nice run in Star Wars, he would not bode well in a TNG episode: "English, Geordi!! Do you speak it?"

Default Wesley and the space hippies

Any episode with the little kid, Wesley, trying to fly the ship, Totally unbelievable. No parent, or officer, in their right mind would place children on a vessel that is quasi military.

Default And now the Space Hippies.

Holy Christmas, where do I begin. I can understand their message of getting back to nature but honestly. What was that episode? The Manson family in space. I didn't know you cold make a musical instrument from a bicycle wheel.
I have a friend who,s first experience with Star Trek was in Saigon after a hard night of drinking and he must have seen this episode because he described it as a bunch of bad actors, hired by the Vietnamese entertainment industry, in funny pajamas trying to act like contemporary kid's at the time.

Force Of Nature for continuity's sake, Code Of Honor for it's racial overtones.

Also, any episode that was "Worf" heavy was kind of dull and boring.

Honor, Fighting, bleh... I like Michael Dorn, but he should had pushed for his character to be more then a mindless warrior.
