Just something I have stumbled across:
http://www.washingtonmonthly.com/arc..._04/017784.php After I have read some articles featuring such memo excerpts, I have changed my opinion about the subject: impeach these b*st*rds! |

Do it to Julia, indeed. I admit to being a little torn on the issue of torture - I don't think causing people physical pain is a good idea, but pumping someone full of truth serum is another thing.
I'm pretty sure I'd say "Do it to Julia" in Rm. 101 if they came out with my worst fear. Sigh.

It might be justified to discuss if actually any information could be obtained, but psychological wracks don't reveal precious informations.

Yeah, they made the same point last night on Rachel Maddow's show. Basically, Bush and his lawyers said it was okay to use "Room 101" style torture on people. Makes you just want to sing, "America the Beautiful" at the top of your lungs, doesn't it?

It does present problems when it's supposedly 'the good guys' who are doing it.
