Default What made a TREKKIE out of you?

After reading many of the posts in this forum, I began to wonder which series was it that made a Trekkie/Trekker/Trekhead/ Fan of you. That is if you are one. I find it fascinating that many of you were brought in by something other than TOS, but there are more of you than we know!!! What brought you in? For me it was TOS. My 47 year ols Sister is a TOS trekkie, she still today says there is something special about the original 79. I agree. Anyone?

Indeed! I started out as a kid, with Lost in Space, then I "matured" to TOS level.

The original series was the first Trek I ever saw. My dad didn't like TNG at the time, so you could say that TOS started my Trekkieness.

Growing up I guess it would be re-runs of TOS episodes, my uncle was a big fan, my dad would watch it and like ST:II but wouldn't say he had a great love for anything beyond that... I didn't watch TNG new but started watching it about halfway through, then I loved DS9, then Voyager kind of sucked, then Enterprise started off weak but got better after a season or so... but the original TOS movies and even Generations I thought for the most part were pretty good.
