It was interesting how many of the characters from the movie started out in the series but eventually faded away, like Painless Waldowski, Spearchucker Jones, Ugly John and Dish...

And another fave, the episode where Winchester takes compassion on a soldier who is shunned and derided by his fellow soldiers because he stutters. As it turns out, there was a really good reason that Winchester did, and it was heartwrenching.

Col. Potter was another one of my favorite characters. Much as I liked Col. Blake, and certainly lamented the character's demise, I really enjoyed Potter.

FanWriter45, yes a lot of the Hawkeye centric episodes were really good. I did love the one where he had to keep himself awake, amidst a Korean family.

And of course, who can forget the most heavily watched (to this day) finale : Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen?

Love MASH. Watch reruns everyday on Channel 7 in Sydney.

The next TV Series should be called STARFLEET!
