Speaking of The Day the Earth Stood Still, I am watching the 2 parter episode "The Keeper" where Michael Reenie (Kato) is the keeper. It has giant animals in it. Allen was always intriqued by Giants and things.

It's always puzzled me how Reenie got caught up with Irwin Allen... he was such a class act... it was almost as though he was slumming by appearing in "The Lost World" or "Lost in Space."

Was Kato his name on Lost In Space, or do you really mean Michael Rennie's DTESS character Klaatu?

I am now watchingn season 2, "BROUGHT TO YOU IN LIVING COLOR BY N B C" I never realized that Season 1 was all on the first planet! They were never in the air. They took off in season 2 and got as far as SOL, and were going to Earth but Dr. Smith foiled it for them. I am enjoying this journey back. I told my spousal unit that it made me appreciate Star Trek so much more!!!

I'm a little late to this conversation. I had a great time building the Polar Lights J2 model. I've also built the Movie J2 but the pics are locked up in a computer with a crashed hard drive. It is also heavily modified and lighted. I even used the Johnny Lightning Die cast J2 as a lifeboat.

I love the original Jupiter 2. The one I have is Johnny Lightning, the small one, as well as the "pod and the Johnny Lightning one too. Plus, I have the entire series on DVD too. I didn't care for the movie props.
