Overall I like Janeway, with Picard a close second.

Hmmm..that might have had SOME infuluence...(teasing).

But I thought Mulgrew's acting overall way good, and she had a good commanding voice, without overcompensationg.

Melllvar: [getting autographs] Could you make it out to Melllvar? Melllvar has three "L's".
George Takei: I think I've been to enough conventions to know how to spell "Melllvar."

My problem with Spock is that we never really saw him making command decisions for any extended period of time. So in my mind even though he technically held the rank of Captain he will always be a first officer. Just as I would never consider Riker a Captain even though by the beginning of Nemesis he FINALLY is. If we're going by pure rank however rather than experience, what about CAPTAIN MONTGOMERY SCOTT!

Spock is the only good non-TNG character in my opinion (yes, that's right! i am not a Trekkie! mwahahahahahahahahaha!!!), but he's Spock and i love Spock, so him as captain, however brief, is still the greatest. all you die-hard Spock fans out there, holla!
