That was where it all started to go downhill. It's hard to find someone on 21st century Earth who does; terra incognita to quote the old kirk. Her reaction was similar though, which is a plus

Uhura might not say anything like that on the bridge, or any other duty type setting...but I bet, knowing languages the way she does, that she would have no trouble saying something like that when off-duty, and especially when in a bar! If Uhura goes to a bar in the first place, I know she would say whatever was needed to deal with any riff-raff that tried to mess with her. Seeing that she was just meeting Kirk for the first time, I am sure she used a line that normally made guys turn and run...but when that did not hapen, the next line was probably a test...and if he did not get mad at that one, then he was probably worth knowing...I used the same strategy...but not farm animals...in a bar myself, so I'm not surprised or upset at her respone.
