Superb. I was already to the point of "yeah, it's o.k. for those around the world to see Star Trek before we do, Star Trek is universal, Gene would have wanted that way." But TO BLAZES WITH THAT NOISE! Trek shows first in the good old U.S.A., what a badly needed moral boost for us. Way to go Abrams!

LOL I never pretended in the first place to be happy about everyone else seeing it before we did. I was whining straight off the bat as soon as I found out Australia was getting it and then Germany and then pretty much EVERYONE WHO'S NOT THE UNITED STATES.

I'm glad it's being released so many places but I'm selfish, greedy, and impatient and I WANT IT FIRST.

No really, I want it first.

congats to the people of austin texas for being the first to see this movie. Does anyone think that crowds for the movie premiere in australia looked very sparce?

I was thinking that maybe it was because it wasn't widely publicized. Didn't someone say earlier that there wasn't much in the way of publicity? I can't quite remember.
