I was about 6 or 7. I don't know exactly why I watched it (nobody in my family watched it) but I really wanted to see that space-show on TV. That was 1992 (or 1991) when there were reruns of TOS on german TV. I loved it. Hell, I even thougt the FX were fantastic (i still do). Kirk, Spock, Bones and all the others became my childhood heroes. especially the logical Spock had a great impact on me (as much impact a TV character can have).

EDIT: My first episode should have been "The Man Trap" as they just started the rerun.

7, when "Encounter at Farpoint" first aired. I might have seen some random episodes of TOS before then, but that's the first Trek I remember.

New York in 1976...was that the one at the New York Hilton that the whole cast was at, the one the NYFD almost shut down because of the overcrowding? I was there!!!

I started watching StarTrek when I was 6 years old. The nephew of my mother introduced me too TOS and it was love at first sight :P Then when I finished watching TOS I watched the other shows and became a big startrek fan. And now I am 22 and my passion for startrek is still huge.

It was "The Wrath of Khan" in 2002.. I think . I was about 17-18 years, and the movie was great, but somehow it did not attracted me to watch other Star Trek. But in a year or so there came TNG, and I was so trekked!

Default Star Trek: The Next Generation

I was first exposed to Star Trek when I was about 9 or 10 with The Next Generation. First on BBC2 then on Sky One. I remember comming home after school everyday and watching the re-runs of TNG at 5:00pm on Sky One. Those were the days! Sometimes me and by brother who argue over the TV then too!

Generally, I think that most of us first came across Trek when we are young. It really appealled to me as a space adventure. I was crazy about space then and it was just thrilling to watch a show that went out there to explore. I wanted to know what it might be like, I'd look up at the night sky and wonder what might be out there waiting for us.

Star Trek filled that desire and showed me what might, what could, be.
