I wonder how the writers can bring Shanter back. It would be nice if he is in the sequel.

There isn't even a STORY for the sequel yet.

This is a rumor--and a lame one, at that--being reported as a news story.

But, Shatner would be old enough to play Grandpa Kirk, a recluse who lives on a small planet and raises horses.

Maybe Pine/Kirk goes and sees Grandpa and get some more fatherly advice to get his act together while on liberty after the Narada incident?
