It might crop up in an explanation of the Narada's abilities but my gut is that it probably won't.

No Borg , or any Borg reference will be in the movie. I spoke to JJ and he assured me!!

The only Borg reference was that single line in Countdown that mentions Borg technology.

Well, the whole reason the Borg showed up in TNG, was because of Q. Unless Q shows up at any point, I can't see how the Borg would because they don't know that this area of the universe exists (yet).

If a series comes to fruition, I wouldn't mind seeing Q pop up. That would make things a little interesting, how he and Kirk might interact differently than he did with Picard.

Once again, the reason most fan scripts don't make it to publication, is because they include everything from every iterneration of Star Trek. There are 3 things that can survive that, Warp Drive, Phasers, Transporters....and even the last two get complaints...

The casual Trek fan and the general audience will not care or need to know WHY Neros ship is so bada$$, but we can lean over and tell them,.
But be prepared for some funny looks insinuating "oh no Im sitting next to a real Trekkie".....yeah thats what the normies call us..

q may be neat in a future movie. i don't think he would change cuz of time travel. and the borg in enterprise called the other borg and it took 200 for them to get to the enterprise d. there part of ther own weird time loop.
