I think that's hardly conclusive given the graininess of the shot. You can't definitively tell that the corners are squared.

Could it be a D? Sure...it could just as likely be a "0," too.

Maybe you need to get your eyes checked. It's a "D". Yes, it looks VERY much like a "0" or an "O", but it's a"D". I'm obviously NOT the only one that sees it. Why else is this "easter egg" story out? If the majority of people that saw this pic could NOT tell it was a "D" then why put out a story claiming it was an easter egg?

The story doesn't call it an easter egg. It says it might be.:

"Yesterday’s images - in high res w/ TNG easter egg?" [emphasis added to illustrate question mark]

"The Enterprise D is not in the movie, but this could be a nice little easter egg." [emphasis added to highlight that it "could be" and not "is."]


And I didn't say I couldn't tell it was a D. I said it could just as easily be an 0. There's a big difference.

I think that's highly likely. Isn't this one of the cans in the ice room when we first see Spock? In Unification,, being sympathetic to Spock's cause, is it really unlikely that the Enterprise left him some supplies?

Its an Evac Kit. To me it looks like text on a monitor. I'd say its a small monitor inside the escape pod.

I think it's unlikely since the Enterprise was never at Romulus. Picard and Data were on a Klingon Bird of Prey. The Enterprise was in orbit of Galorndon Core (near the Neutral Zone).

The Enterprise couldn't have left him supplies if they weren't there.

sooooooo....how is it that they could have staff there? Picard and Data were with Spock and Picard and Data made it back to the ship so why is it impossible for the Enterprise to have beamed down some supplies? How do you think it's possible for them to bring Data and Picard back to the ship without being able to send supplies to Spock?
