As for Greenwood playing Pike in a new series I think that would be excellent. If anybody out there wants to see Bruce Greenwood's best work as an actor I truly recommend Nowhere Man. http://www.amazon.com/Nowhere-Man-Co...0505617&sr=1-1

The series is highly underrated and being a fan of that show I have no doubt Greenwood is perfect for Pike.

Read the review. It sounds like a cross between The Net and Enemy of the State.

Pike would be a good show.

I would like another, different, show with other characters too,
but doubt they would have two series at once again.

New Pike seems to have warmer personality, so it would work.

Would Pike's ship still have a similar doctor character like on The
Cage? Maybe have similar Number One as well?

Riker would have been a fun series, but something different is
needed now.

I think Lucas will make his show 'cheap' compared to other things.

Star Wars will be awesome! Star Trek needs something to be
really incredible. They could do it, if done right.

Old Poll, but given the tentative news in NCC's latest thread

Let's see if the new members would like to vote.

After having seen Greenwood in action as Pike (I've liked him as a character actor for long time anyway) and seeing what he did with Pike, then I'm much more interested in a possible Pike series than before.

But it would have to be Greenwood playing him.

Seems Greenwood has a lot of appeal.

You guys seem to be mixing things up, old TOS universe with new. If Greenwood is involved it should be set in the new universe, new Pike has a different history as well. In the movie he claims he served with Kirk's father, who was only Captain for those few minutes at the start of the movie, so Pike was either aboard the Kelvin as something less than a first officer, or he served on another vessel with KIRK SR. New Pike was not Captain of Enterprise, since it was just being built in the film. Just thought I would clariify this, thanks.

Did he say that? Or did he just say that he wrote his thesis or whatever on it? If the latter then it suggests that he enlisted and graduated after it was destroyed.

While a good idea, I think it'll never see production.
