hi,

who would you guys cast in the roles of some of Trek's other supporting characters?

Janice Rand, Christine Chapel, Kevin Riley, Harry Mudd, Lt. Kyle, etc.

Personally, I can't help but think of Kristen Bell in role of Yeoman Rand.
but then, I just can't help but think of Kristen Bell all the time...

I know people were talking recently about whether Reece Whitherspoon could possibly be given a role in XII. If she were, I think she'd be a great Carol Marcus.

I know nobody's mentioned this, but I'd love to see Will Smith get a role of some kind in the next movie.

Casting Jack Black as Harry Mudd would be friggin' brilliant. Even a better choice than Rogen, IMO. No one does funny psycho like Jack Black.

As for Khan, someone else suggested Javier Bardem who was in "No Country for Old Man" and I totally agree.

I'm not real big on Javier Bardem. I don't like him as Khan at all.

Witherspoon is ideal for Carol Marcus.

Lillard = no. Riley must be played by an Irish actor. we are quite tired of rubbish attempts at our many accents [Riley was funny in THE NAKED TIME]. Only Pitt and Blanchett have ever got them right.
Brenden Gleeson's son,Briain would be a good Riley.

its hard to say. i never would have though that heath ledger would be good as the joker and he was. i think Gary Sinise would have been a great bones but i think he is too old for this movie.
