Default The Robinsons: Lost in Space (2004)

Interesting.

The pilot was never aired and the set of the Jupiter 2 spacecraft was sold to the production of "Battlestar Galactica" (2004) for use as the set of the Battlestar Pegasus.

HA, I have that pilot on VHS. I will have to watch it again and look for the set.

By the way, once watched you understand why it wasn't aired.

Very interesting, omegaman, I didn't know that.

The music from the intro sounds like its from Battlestar Galactica.

I didn't even know they had tried to redevelop it as a TV series. I thought the 1998 film was such a bomb it would have put them off.

It is something of a talk fest, with the action coming in the later clips. I suspect that it didn't sell (in part) because there was no excitement in the early minutes to hook the decision makers.

OK, I kinda liked the movie. Sure there were, um, bad parts but it was such a long wait for a movie I couldn't help but like it. I even liked the J2, though they should have used the classic sound effects. I built the movie J2 model and incorporated the TV J2 as a lifeboat, just in case they needed ideas for a sequel

Hey Firefly fans, does that very first scene look familiar to anyone?
