I'm sorry but I actually laughed when I saw the title of the thread. Maybe because it sounds so totally random, I don't know... I'm not laughing at your pain though because I'm sure it hurt like a biatch. But how in hell did you manage to do that? Were you aiming at something else?

I was turning soil in the garden in preparation for planting vegetables. I got careless and started to daydream a bit and missed my mark. The bloody thing went right through my shoe, i got it on the instep and it dug a gouge out of my second toe, ruined a practically new pair of shoes. I bled like a stuck pig. I do not recommend doing this, as it hurt really badly, but it could have been much worse. One must pay attention to what one is doing. I'm glad I got a tetanus booster recently.

you wont believe how many times i did that to my self , i farm when i get the chance outside my summer house , plus i was stinged by a scorpion (the little son of a gun was hidden on the presure valve of my water tank) the skin of my arm turned white and i had high fever for 2 days

I take it that you agree with me that it is MOST uncomfortable? I'm still wincing. We have scorpions here too, they're little brown ones that are well known for not being lethal, but their sting is still very painful. I have not had the misfortune to be stung by one as yet. My cousin did though and her foot swelled up like a blimp. That's why I always wear shoes or slippers, even in the house.

I do not envy you guys the pain that you went through with your accidents/stingings.

I cannot fathom, nor do I wish to encounter either of those events (pitchforkulation/scorpion sting).

Ouch! That's a really unfortunate accident and it does sound painful... I hope you feel better soon. And be more careful next time, okay? You are now the living proof that gardening and daydreaming can be hazardous to your health...

I once stabbed myself directly in the eyeball with a straw! I'm not an idiot but that was certainly an idiotic thing to do. When I told (cried to) my girlfriend about what'd happened she just shook her head and said 'Don't do that!' I've taken her advice and have found unstabbed eyes to be preferable.
