Yes, the released statement of the "jellyfish" being a timeship made me think your idea was wrong, but as it turns out, you were right and the "official" statement was incorrect...way to think outside of the box!

you can download the free program Comical and then download all four issues from almost any of the usual places and read them on your computer.
