BOMBAY BEACH --there has been More than 300 aftershocks, including 10 with a magnitude above 3.0, have rattled the Salton Sea area since last Tuesday's 4.8 magnitude quake. It is very close to the SanAndreas Fault. Which possibly lead to the big one
http://www.ktla.com/landing_news/?Qu...709&feedID=171 a bit scary I may add. We have to for a large shake on that fault line. It has been 300 years since southern California shook there. The last time it shook on the fault line it was in San Fransico about 100 years ago

I'd be worried too. Fortunately were pretty safe here in Australia.

Hopefully, the quake won't be as bad as predicted. Sadly, California is about due for a big one...

Could all the seismic activity be related to the Redoubt Volcano in South Western Alaska?

A bit more on topic, I would think that ST would have covered "the big one" and explain why San Fran is not an island. |

People of California, take your safety precautions, make sure you have an emergency radio, flashlights and extra batteries, plenty of bottled water, blankets, a first aid kit, and a stash of non perishable food. I've been through disasters before, they always suck, but being prepared definitely makes it suck a LOT less.

Great! Wonderful, If the economy and crime rate was not enough to worry about, hell just add a natural disaster to the list. Not to mention I live 30 minutes notheast of San Andreas. This makes me feel even better...Well time to move.

I live a few miles west of the faultline, how do you think I feel. One more reason for me to hate living in the IE
