You guys cannot be serious, you think Mac's are virus proof? They've been hacked before and they'll be hacked again. No computer, no matter how well guarded by virus protection or firewalls is 100% safe. Mac or PC, It will happen to you sooner or later. There are two things you cannot fix, you can't fix stupid, and you cannot fix malevolent idiocy. In other words, if someone that knows how wants to screw up your computing day bad enough, they will. All you can do is be prepared and hope you're one of the lucky ones.

Nothing lucky about. Have not had any virus attack on my computer since I brought it 5 years ago and it's connected through a firewalled cable modem and turned on 16 hours a day. My PC has had quite a few in that time, mainly from emails. I don't use email on it any more. And I don't run any antivirus on it because that would be a waste of time.

I'm defiantly not saying it's virus proof, just that Windows has more viruses and worms written for it. Macs have noticeably less. I still use virus protection for my Mac, but so far it hasn't had to do anything.

And, it most likely never will. I have Virus Barrier installed because I use the computer for my business and accept a lot of emails from virus prone PC's.
