I had the same theory about creating a black hole inside the ship a few days ago

Jellyfish
I like this one, MrQ, especially the second paragraph, because it intertwines the Red Matter with the story in a different way than was originally intended.

Um I think they will use Khan in the next film. It just makes sense. Khan was Kirk's greatest foe so if Nero is still alive by the end of this film and is looking for a way to defeat Captain Kirk who better? An alternative version of Wrath of Khan/Space Seed will make money at the box office as a concept alone. Not to mention if the movie is good or not. For those of you reading Countdown try to remember that Nero knows Kirk's history. Nero even says in the trailer "James Kirk was a great man but that was another life." Also if we look at this from a studio point of view it's kind of a no-brainer! As if JJ doesn't want to do it.

Maybe Nero goes to the Nexus at the end of the movie?

I hope they really don't regurgitate old Trek stories like this. That can be reserved for novels and such. I would much prefer something original moving forward. But Javier Bardem would make a good Khan I think:

Nah...if they want to really pay homage to the spirit of the original series, the next film can only feature the one and only Harry Mudd...

(ETF: Henry -> Harry Mudd...not sure where that came from)

Who would play him? Phillip Seymor Hoffman?

I don't think Khan will ever show up. TWOK is too embedded as the general favourite. JJ hasn't done all this work, to go and rehash that story for his next move.
