This is probobly not true, but I keep hearing a rumor online about the ending of "Star Trek."

Nero, realizing he can't defeat Kirk at the moment, escapes from his fight (remaining in the 23'rd Alternate century) and goes off looking for a certain SS Botany Bay.

Personally, no substance to it. But it does sound cool.

My 2 cents on the ending

Nero gets convinced by Spock that they together can destroy the Hobus star in the past, stopping the nova from ever occurring and there by 'Year of Hell' style get everything in the future solved. I even suspect they will show a Nero with a pleasant mop of hair on his head with kids and all.

I suspect this because any other ending is less optimistic and non utopian, something JJ wants us to feel from this movie. Otherwise whats so optimistic in killing the villain and saving the day?

Ehh. I'm still on the bar about that. While I think that would be a great ending, is it realistic? I think Nero might just be too far gone to turn around and give a big ol' "Sorry Guise!" to the Federation. I'm also scared that Nimoy Spock might die. If he does, JJ better pull it off good! Other wise I'll be hiding in someones closet.

Yes we do see the jellyfish seem to explode on the side of Neros ship, but

it is penetrating the hull to gain access to the interior, this may be the only way in.
