Default Nimoy was 'overwhelmed'

Quote:
When they arrived, Nimoy was giving off a " 'Who are you guys and what are you up to?' " vibe, Kurtzman said. "It was incredibly intimidating. By the end it was very emotional too. We told him that we couldn't do it without him. We told everything and how he was the key to the movie, that the story doesn't work without him. There was a very long silence and he got misty.

"He had retired and turned down many offers to return to this character, so this was asking the greatest gunslinger to strap on the pistol one more time. . . . His wife told us later that he didn't get out of the chair for several hours [and] that he was overwhelmed by all of it and the decision."

Nice.

If Nimoy can sign on, I can give it a shot and suspend my judgment until the end credits roll.

I agree. Bless his heart, it sounds like this was a very special experience for him. I'm so glad he had this opportunity!

Great clipping.

Nimoy is constantly revealing himself as such a great man. And yes, him signing on for this feels like a major vote of confidence.

I think that's very much the case.

Very cool. The info on this film is like Oklahoma weather, if you don't like it, wait a minute.

The fact that Nimoy signed up to this film is what is making me go see it.
The new tech design doesn't fit with me as it makes the film look like any other Sci-Fi flick. But I'm willing to give it a go.
