I'll be working that Friday, so it will be at least the Saturday before I can get to see it. No special plans, just keeping it simple - just want to see the movie!!

buffs is right. The week after the premiere the media will flood us with spoilers and co-workers won't be able to keep their mouths shut. And at the barber shop there's this guy with a bag of pirated ST XI DVD's. You buy one for $7.00 because it's a high pressure sell. Then, later that night you retrieve the DVD from your car and sneak it in your home. In the dark silence of your living room you punch it into your machine.

The shaky images of theater screen emerge as you settle back in the recliner. The camera jolts to the left and you compensate by tilting your head. As you strain to view the unfolding scenes of this fabulous movie something else occurs to you: there's undeniable energy in the theater. Moviegoers are revved and their cheers tug at your heart.

buffs is seated in the front row with a king-size bag of buttery popcorn. martok displays a Tresher cat smile while taking notes in the back row. Kevin AKA "Octopus" is keeping his hands to himself. jtrek is there too and sporting a geek ST XI t-shirt. TMB just spilled a slurpee and its running down the floor into Jerhanner's shoes. Zardoz is in the projection booth watching for gremlins. I'm in the balcony witnessing this great panorama. We're a part of making box office history for the opening weekend.

Where's tomcatjosh? Livingston shakes his head. horatio taps my shoulder; "Sorry lad. Tommycat doesn't like crowds."

I'll camp out in the lot waiting for the ticket booth to open like all the other bozo's. I did it for all the Trek and Wars films, it just wouldn't feel right any other way. The film is always better if you suffer for it a bit.

Actually, I like to refer to more than one mouse as "mouses" and more than one fish "fishes". More than one goose, is an air raid, and I would recommend taking shelter.
