I don't care what a film is about - if I like it I like it. I don't worry about what a single other person thinks about the films I like, but mine own cover a broad range.

I love Hollywood action movies, but every once in a while I need to give myself something different to watch. Something that feeds the brain as well as the eyes.

Why don't we sit down with a nice cup of oolong and deconstruct the genre.

I love Chinese Kung-Fu movies, especially the ones that are set back in the pre-industrial revolution days and the ones that cross over a bit into the fantasty realm like "Forbidden Kingdom" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". I also like the school gets attacked/sensei gets killed/students get revenge stuff like "Chinese Connection".
Speaking of Bruce Lee movies, I love anything with him in it, but have a particular weak spot for "Enter The Dragon" as it was the first Kung-Fu movie I ever saw. I also love corny Japanese monster movies (Godzilla, or Gojira as the Japanese call him, being my favorite) a lot. I'm not a fan of artsy-fartsty European intellectual flicks, they make me think too much and make my head hurt. But if a foreign film is actually funny, heartwarming and especially entertaining, then I like it as well as I like any other. Bottom line, if It's good, I enjoy it, no matter where it comes from. But if you have to hire a psychiatrist, a mathematician and a monkey with an abacus to understand the plot, well..you can just forget about it.
