It could become quite confusing. In 2007, Halloween was remade, and now Halloween 2 is coming out in August. The question many fans are asking is "Will this be a remake of part 2?" The answer from director Rob Zombie is definately no. So how much confusion will there be? What will they call it? Star Trek 2 of 2? or 2 or the first? or of the second? *scratches head*

Star Trek: The Rise of Khan

Being that this movie is set in an alternate timeline, and assuming that it doesn't get repaired by the movie's end, there's only one good thing that could possibly come from it. Even then only, and I mean ONLY, if it's done right! That would be a revisiting of TOS storyines from a new perspective. Space Seed would be a good one as would the Doomsday Machine. Maybe if the timeline didn't get fixed in this movie maybe they could do a remake of one of the best TOS episodes: the City on the Edge of Forever where not only do the events of that episode occour but maybe Kirk decides to fix what Nero does to the timeline. The possibilities are endless and God willing if done right could be awesome. Me personally if they would do it I wish they'd let either Nicholas Meyer or Leonard Nimoy direct the next movie. I know, I know that will never happen but a guy can dream!
