I hope the new movie dose well . but with fans being so picky these days who knows. I'm just happy to see something new . Dont judge this new movie enjoy it .Be happy that they are making a new movie .

This movie WILL be judged - ALL movies are judged.
People are nitpicky and critical because they've been burned on the last two films (who can blame them)

JJ knew this going in - they know the risks and the challenge ahead of them.
It WILL be scrutinized - there's no where to run so they better make a good movie.

Yes, I agree, but I think the point of the original post is don't judge the movie so quickly especially when you only know jack-squat about it.

Fan or Not, this movie will be judged like any other - regardless of your gender, weight, place of work, age, race, colour and fanatical or not so fanatical obsession with Star Trek. we're bums on seats as far as Paramount are concerned so it really doesn't matter if some fans on these message boards dislike this movie - there are millions upon millions of fans out there and its just the fanatical few who visit boards and talk in depth about Star Trek - most ppl just like it.
