Haha... wanted to post the good old Alden's too. Cheers to your good taste.

I wear my work boots for the biggest part of the day. Those I have worn for 3 years (just over), nearly every workday, for 9-10 hours a day, or more!! That's why I don't think $150 is expensive when you get that kind of mileage out of them. They still look good and are in great shape, the only reason I am switching for a new pair is because I need better traction with a new sole.
I got my first pair of HD Streethawk's a year after I bought my Harley. Ever since then it is like all I can stand to have on my feet. Great built in arch support.

Hands down, the best shoes I have ever had on my feet: Allen Edmonds. I wear dress shoes 5 days out of 7 and these feel as thouh I have nothing on, but the support is great. I had one pair last ten years.

My running shoes are New Balance, mostly because I have a very wide foot and NB fit me the best. I'm a 'EEE' in dress and 'EEEE' athletic shoe. Ha! If my feet were tits, I could be a stripper!

They indeed look great, especially the more age they get.

Alden and Allen Edmonds are similar. Both American made and very well at that. For some reason, the Aldens didn't fit me as well, but I wish they did because they are awesomely made shoes. Livingston and Botany- you must have some happy feet.

I chose crocs because they fit. Believe me, with my shape and size of feet, getting shoes to fit is harder than you might think. Tesco brand trainers always seem to fit. Just as well I don't have any ambitions to do any.. you know... exercise
