I think it is after the fight and it is the Enterprise . . but hey, what do I know . . I'm married and in a constant state of confusion and denial. We'll know soon enough.

Well perhaps there are other constitution class ships after all is the Enterprise 1701 One being the first in a series?

Indeed. There could easily be heavy-duty surveillance, with ID tags on everyone who's authorised and a detection system that isolates anyone who's not permitted. Something like that. Anyway, the possibilities are pretty near infinite.

a little off topic, in 3rd trailer I noticed that Kirk's bike is wheeled, not hover like the cop's bike was.

Kirk collects antiques.

That's probably another canon issue that will be discarded in this new vision of Star Trek. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a line somewhere that says "this is the Enterprise. The only one of her kind in the fleet". It would just be more dramatic that way.

I don't think that's true or that it'll be the case. We didn't see other Consitution class vessels in TOS right away, either. There's no reason to expect that we'll see them in this film.

Besides, how many times have we heard in the movies that the Enterprise "was the closest ship in the quadrant?" It'll probably be that before anything else.

That was the biggest problem with all of the previous movies. Send all our ships out into space, but don't keep anything at home for planetary emergencies, just plain dumb!
