I'm in full agreement. I don't think there'll be a lot of people dressing in costumes etc. however somehow, somewhere, there will be somebody who will show up at the theatre wearing Spock ears.
Don't worry, though. I showed up at the theatre at a midnight showing (the first showing of) Star Wars "The Phantom Menace". There were plenty of people there who were wearing Darth Vader costumes, Jedi robes, and Princess Laya hair-do's, so this kind of activity isn't just common in Star Trek. It's just human nature to crave attention, and this is how some people do it--by being silly. I'm okay with that, just so long as everybody is well behaved.
