At the moment I'm hoping that they make (Northern Hemisphere) summer 2011: what with Chris Pine doing Jack Ryan and JJ have multiple new projects I'll be pleased if it doesn't get pushed back.

Do y'all reckon if I buy everyone on my Christmas list the DVD it'll encourage them to hurry up?

There's a new interview with Kurtzman, Orci and Lindelof up at Trekweb. Not details about ST12, just talking about the creative team and how they approach things. Whatever they choose I think there's good chance they'll do ST12 well.

Orci's been named as the major ST fan on the creative team from the first interviews, someone else (I forget who) had never seen an ep, the others were in between.

I actually find ontd_startrek a bit frenetic, but it is the most active of the star trek comms, because they cover everthing the actors get up to - if it's online it'll appear there sooner or later.

There's assorted others including startrek, startrek2009 and a whole heap of pairing and fics comms: all the usual combos and some IMO very unlikely ones.

LJ New Trek comms are still pretty active, although mostly in the gossip / fic areas since pretty much everything that can be said about ST11 has been said, several times.
